The second season is loosely based on Stone of Tears, the second book in Goodkind's series. Together, they set off on a quest to seek out and defeat Darken Rahl. Kahlan finds the wizard, Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, and the Seeker, a young man named Richard Cypher, who is forced to accept a destiny he never knew about. Kahlan Amnell, a Confessor, ventures into Westland in search of a wizard and the Seeker, who has been prophesied to defeat Rahl. The story begins after the invasion of Darken Rahl's army into the Midlands. Some of the stories feature events and characters not encountered in the books, while others loosely adapt events from the book. The first season is loosely based on the first book of The Sword of Truth series Wizard's First Rule. Seekers are accompanied by a Wizard of The First Order and Confessors, an ancient order of women, who oversee the welfare of the people of the Midlands and the Seeker. On the other side of the Midlands is D'Hara, which is ruled by Darken Rahl. Westland is separated from the Midlands by a magical boundary, which was created to prevent any magic from entering Westland. The three main provinces are Westland, the Midlands and D'Hara. The story takes place in the world created by author Terry Goodkind in his fantasy novel series, The Sword of Truth. It's good entertainment for a fantasy series and I was actually quite surprised by the excellent performance of the actress Bridget Regan.After the mysterious murder of his father, a son's search for answers begins a momentous fight against tyranny. When I watched "Legend of the Seeker" I watched the show for itself and therefore I enjoyed it very much. I've always been good at separating the books from their interpretations to the theater or television. I'm not sure if I'd would of liked it had I read the books that this series is based on, but I think I would have. I've only just seen the first two, but I sure am going to see the others and if they continue like this I'll be a fan.
I was kept interested, the photography was awesome, the costumes, too. Of course, that was the very first thing I did, and let me tell you how afraid was after I read them!! I though this series was going to suck big time, but had to see it by myself and guess what - I loved it! OK, it's not phenomenal, but it's quite good. I heard about this series by a friend that said "Just don't read the comments before you see it".
