Start typing the names of your recipients in the “to” box. On the top left corner, you’ll see the new message icon that looks like a square with a pencil. Go to your Inbox by clicking on the mail icon toward the right side of the top navigation bar on LinkedIn (it looks like an envelope). That means if you’ve uploaded contact information from your address book but you haven’t connected with them on LinkedIn, you won’t be able to add them to your group message.
When sending group messages, you can only message people you are connected to on LinkedIn. Also, be aware that in order to prevent spam, LinkedIn limits group messages to be sent to no more than 50 connections at a time. However, be aware that LinkedIn is very concerned about spam, so be sure your message is relevant to your recipients or you could be reported for spam. You can, and there are several methods for doing so. One question I’m often asked is whether you can send messages to multiple recipients through LinkedIn.
